Lumen Nights

Lumen books artists nobody has heard of yet, so the festival needed a set of images that sold the feeling of the field rather than a famous face on a poster.
I shot the whole run on two bodies and three primes, mostly wide open at ISO 6400. Nothing was lit for me. That is the point of live work: you photograph the light the lighting designer already built.
The images went out to press within twelve hours of each set, and the crowd frames are now what the festival leads with in its own campaigns.
