Amber Hour Gala

Casa Aberta raise money once a year and the room is always lit by about two hundred candles. Flash would have destroyed it, so we shot the entire evening on available light.

The foundation needed images that worked in two directions: warm and human for donors, clean and legible for the annual report. We delivered two graded sets from the same night.

The campaign that followed used eleven of these frames and raised more than the previous two years combined.
